Medication at School

Students are NOT to take medication at school without an "Authorization to Administer Medication" form on file in the office.  This includes "over the counter" medications.

If a student has medication that is not on file in the office, medication will be confiscated and a parent will be called.  An adult must come to the school and administer the medication to the student.

You may obtain a form from the school office.

Injuries and Accidents

All minor injuries are handled by the teachers or noon supervisors.  Some students are sent to the office for ice and band aids.

In the event of a serious injury to a student, necessary first aid will be given and a parent will be notified.  If a parent is unavailable and no emergency contacts can be reached, the administration will call 911 and student will be transported to the nearest hospital at parents' expense.

Students Leaving During the School Day

Please attempt to make all your child's appointments after the school day.  We understand that at times this is not possible.  When you do need to take your child during the school day, you MUST first come to the office and sign your child out.  Then the office will contact your child's teacher and request your student to come to the office.  A student will not be released to anyone that is not on your Emergency Contact list, unless you have contacted the office.  A photo ID may be requested for verification.
